The Only Official Source for Tower of God
Tower of God is free to read on WEBTOON, the official platform where every episode across all three seasons is available at no cost. You do not need a subscription — the full archive is free on the website and the mobile app. For early access to new chapters there is an optional Fast Pass, but nothing in the archive is locked behind it. This is the one and only legal English source for the series.
As of early 2025, Tower of God is on hiatus following the Season 3 finale. The official page states the series will return, though no date has been announced. If you have been putting it off, now is a good time to catch up before Season 4 begins. Physical collected volumes also exist, but they cover less than half of the story compared to the online release — WEBTOON is the most complete way to read.

- Start at Episode 1, Season 1 — all three seasons are sequential. Do not skip.
- Read through Season 3, Episode 235 — the Season 3 finale and current endpoint of the series.

2. Tower of God: Urek Mazino — Our Score: 8.5/10

Before Urek Mazino became one of the Tower’s most feared climbers, he was chasing a mysterious being called Phantaminum. This prequel launched in 2025 and gives dedicated weight to a character who loomed large in the main series without ever being fully explained. Existing fans of the main story will get the most out of it.
Why it’s great: It fills in major lore gaps and expands the mythology of the Tower in directions the main story only hinted at. Reading it after Season 3 makes several earlier moments hit considerably harder.
3. Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint — Our Score: 9.3/10

Dokja is the only person who has ever read the apocalyptic web novel that is now becoming reality around him. His knowledge of the plot gives him an edge — but the novel never accounted for him being inside it. One of the most inventive and emotionally dense fantasy manhwa of the past several years.
Why it’s great: It plays with narrative and meta-fiction in ways that feel genuinely earned. The pacing rarely lets up, and the character dynamics carry surprising emotional weight by the later chapters.
4. Solo Leveling — Our Score: 9.0/10

Sung Jinwoo is rated the weakest hunter in a world overrun by dungeon gates. After surviving an encounter that should have killed him, he gains the ability to level up like a game character — and climbs from absolute zero to something far beyond human. The series is completed, which means no waiting for the ending.
Why it’s great: The power fantasy is executed with enough craft to feel satisfying rather than hollow. The artwork intensifies significantly as the story progresses, and the final arc delivers on years of setup.
5. SSS-Class Revival Hunter — Our Score: 8.7/10

Gongja Kim copies the ability of the strongest hunter in the Tower — and is immediately killed by him for it. The copied skill revives him at the beginning of the same day, and he must use each loop to grow strong enough to take revenge. A twist on the tower-climbing formula that rewards the long read.
Why it’s great: The protagonist’s growth arc is one of the most methodical in the genre. Each time loop feels purposeful rather than repetitive, and the series earns its escalating stakes consistently.

Yeonwoo receives his dead brother’s pocket watch and learns his brother was betrayed and murdered inside a secret dungeon tower. He enters that same tower to uncover the truth. A revenge-driven take on the tower-climbing premise with a strong personal hook underpinning all the action.
Why it’s great: The backstory mystery keeps the stakes personal throughout even when the scale grows enormous. The combat system is coherent and the power progression feels justified rather than arbitrary.
7. A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special — Our Score: 8.0/10

Desir Arman, one of the last survivors of humanity’s final catastrophe, is thrown back in time to his days at a magic academy. He now has decades of hard-won knowledge and must use it to prevent the events he already lived through. Completed, with strong pacing for a time-travel story.
Why it’s great: The academy setting gives the time-travel premise structure and stakes. Watching Desir outmaneuver problems he already knows the answers to is genuinely satisfying, and the story earns its conclusion.
8. The Skeleton Soldier Failed to Defend the Dungeon — Our Score: 8.2/10

A skeleton soldier fiercely loyal to its master is killed, and revives at an earlier point in time. It relives events in loops, growing stronger with each pass, trying to protect the one it serves from a fate it has already witnessed. Darker than its premise suggests, with a surprisingly emotional core driving the action.
Why it’s great: The time-loop mechanic is used to explore grief and loyalty rather than pure power fantasy. Among the most underrated long-form fantasy manhwa in the tower-adjacent subgenre.
